It's fall Time to cancel TV shows.

I make no secret of the fact that I like to watch TV. Shows like NCIS, Mythbusters and Law & Order SVU have long been a staple of my evening entertainment. That being said I have noticed a new trend among new shows out on the major networks. The trend being the fact that, more often than not, they tend to get canceled very quickly. Many tend to blame the increase in DVR viewing for this and to an extent I could see that. DVR's tend to skip the commercials thus advertisers are less likely to spend money on the shows which in return kills the show.

However I blame the networks themselves because their propensity to shit can anything that has less than stellar ratings has given me shell shock when it comes to watching new programs. I've noticed that lately a new show comes on and I often won't bother watching it until the second season in order to insure I don't get attached to early just to see it go away. I know I can't be the only one who thinks this way and I wouldn't be surprised if this mind set is what's leading us into the realm of shitty reality television the likes of Survivor or Bridezilla.
